God wants to bring is reformation, not revolution

What we cannot have is a revolutionary spirit coming into the Church.

There is a spirit of revolution that says, “Burn it all down.”

It says, “Because I was wounded, because I wasn’t ordained, because I don’t understand ecclesiastical structures, or because I don’t like the way things have been done, I’m going to tell everybody that we need to burn it all down.”

“We need to get rid of order.
We need to get rid of ordination.
We need to get rid of preachers.
We need to get rid of all of it.”

And now we have a spirit of revolution.

But what God wants to bring is reformation, not revolution.

God is not calling us to tear down the Church. He is calling us to build upon the foundation that has already been laid.

And let me say this to the emerging preachers, emerging prophets, and emerging leaders:

I want you to hear my heart, because I believe in you. I have been praying for you.

The Lord showed me when I was in my early twenties that there would come a time—and I believe that time is upon us—when we would see 17-, 18-, and 19-year-old apostles rising up and building great works in the earth.

So I am with you. I believe in what God is raising up in this generation.

But I want to give you a word of warning:

You are not going to emerge by tearing down those who came before you.

You are not going to emerge by being rude, dishonorable, or disrespectful.

You are not going to emerge by stepping outside of God’s timing.

Please hear my heart:

How is it that you started a church six months ago, and now you’re correcting every apostle?

You’re correcting every deliverance minister.
You’re correcting every prophet.
You’re making TikToks criticizing generals of the faith who have preached in stadiums and have faithfully served God for decades.

And sometimes, simply because you don’t understand the old ways, you assume the old ways have nothing to teach you.

But let me help you understand something.

There was a generation before us that prayed all night.

They had prayer meetings. They sought God when nobody was watching.

There was a generation before us that didn’t have the resources we have today. They met in barns, schoolhouses, and small buildings, but they carried the anointing of God.

There was a generation before us that didn’t have comfortable versions of fasting. They knew what it meant to go without food and seek the face of God.

There was a generation that knew how to pray, fast, weep, travail, and seek God until something broke in the Spirit.

And who are we to come along and say, “We need to dismantle everything”?

No.

God used them to build.

We may not do everything exactly the way they did it, but we must never despise what God did through them.

Honor the forerunners. Honor the fathers. Honor the generation that prayed, sacrificed, built, and paved the way for us.

Because true reformation does not despise the foundation.

True reformation builds upon it.
